News Rescue 1 Out of Service

TEVFD has been taken Rescue 1 Out of Service today for repairs and maintenance. This piece of apparatus is the primary response vehicle for all motor vehicle crashes, car fires, and technical rescue incidents. This vehicle was purchased in 2010, and will be headed to the dealer in Chester for service. Members spent several hours moving equipment over to Engine 1 on Saturday in preparation for this scheduled maintenance. The capabilities and services for our community will not change while Rescue 1 is out. We have assets at all three stations in the county available to respond. In addition to the rescue capabilities of this apparatus, it also served as an additional fire response vehicle with 1,000 gallons of water.
