News Station 2 renovations

With a recent grant amendment, TEVFD was approved to construct sleeping quarters in both Center Cross and Occupacia Fire Stations. Construction began this weekend at Station 2. Members of the department with construction trade background completed the project scope, while others served as laborers, saving even more money. This project is part of the recruitment and retention grant, designed to reduce the time in which calls are answered. At the time of initial construction, our stations were not hosting overnight crews, however with severe weather threats and increased membership, we are moving in a direction to better serve our customers, Essex County Residents.
