Mission Statement

The mission of the Tappahannock Essex Volunteer Fire Department is to provide the highest level of emergency services, non-emergency services, and strategic programs designed to protect the lives, property, and economic well being of the citizens and visitors of Essex County Virginia. Tappahannock Essex V.F.D. is committed to the elimination of any and all threats to life, safety, and property through education and prevention. We provide safe, effective response and recovery activity to fire, medical, environmental, and natural emergencies.
